A FAMILY BUSINESS
Jules Cwanger was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Doing his undergraduate work at Penn State University, and going to Grad School at Temple University, Jules would eventually teach social studies in Willingboro, NJ for 25 years. Jules officially entered the roofing business in Willingboro in 1963 beginning with hot tar roofing, and moving on to extensive shingling work in 1970. Upon moving to Cherry Hill in 1974, the business was expanded into commercial as well as residential roofing. Jules began laboring as a teenager for his father’s roofing business and eventually through his knowledge and experience built up his own successful company that has been serving the southern New Jersey and Philadelphia communities for over 30 years.
Jeff Grimley was born and raised in Cherry Hill, NJ and was educated in the Cherry Hill Public school system. He attended Lehigh University and studied Mechanical Engineering his first two years. Throughout college, during summer, weekends and school breaks, Jeff worked as a laborer and mechanic, studying under Jules Cwanger. Jeff received his first managerial training for the roofing industry when he managed a low income housing roofing project during his sophomore year of college. Following his 2001 graduation from Lehigh, Jeff became General Manager under Jules Cwanger, a position he continues to hold today. Jeff has continued his education through numerous GAF and Certainteed seminars and workshops, as well as regularly attending the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) convention. These meetings have helped J. Cwanger Inc. keep up with the newest trends and technology in the roofing and siding business.
